The Sonus Vineyard

With a little help from our friends, we planted the Sonus Vineyard in the foothills of Oregon’s Coast Range. We organically farm this vineyard with our own hands. The vineyard is surrounded by beautiful forest, wildflowers, and a diversity of fruit trees including apples, cherries, peaches, figs, and blueberries. We grow Gamay Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and a bit of Trousseau Noir on uplifted volcanic soils from 650ft to 800ft in elevation on a beautiful southeast facing slope above the valley. We chose to plant a wide range of clonal material for each grape variety planted, which helps to build complexity and shape the wines from this vineyard. Diversity makes for a healthy and happy ecosystem. Beautiful wines come from beautiful places.
